Project: Sustainability thought leadership whitepaper

Supporting sustainability with DHL

Sustainability is very important to DHL, who recently announced their ambitious target to reach zero logistics-related emissions by 2050. With the aim to become the market leader in green logistics, they have big plans to expand their portfolio of green products and services to help customers achieve their own climate protection targets.

To show how DHL is leading on sustainability in logistics, DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation decided to launch an industry-leading whitepaper that would encourage and support businesses to move towards a circular economy model.

With the creative route developed, we produced a range of assets to support the launch including web visuals, social media assets, email marketing visuals, internal comms channels assets and posters.

The whitepaper is called “Delivering on Circularity” and focuses particularly on the fashion and consumer electronics industries, so we created key visuals that demonstrated the circularity model and the components that sit within it.

Our approach to sustainability communications

While maintaining consistency with previous whitepapers in other sectors, we developed key visuals that demonstrate circularity and the components that sit within that model (recycle, refurbish, resell and repair), with a focus on the fashion and consumer electronics sectors. The high quality imagery also enabled our client to plan out the user journey.

The whitepaper front cover was developed so that the key visual could be broken down into elements forming visuals for each chapter as well working holistically to tell the complete whitepaper story as the lead image.

Once the creative route had been developed, we produced a range of assets to support the launch including web visuals, social media assets, email marketing visuals, internal comms channels assets and posters.

"The assets for Circularity have proven really popular across the board and we are getting a steady stream of requests from countries who want to translate them into local languages."
