IAG Cargo is committed to providing all colleagues with the tools they need to thrive in their careers. However, with resources, procedures, and process information spread across different places, IAG Cargo realised their People Managers were not always aware of everything available to help them in their role.
At IAG Cargo, People Managers play a crucial role in supporting, nurturing, and training colleagues across the business – from the start of a new colleague’s career journey all the way to the end.
To help People Managers thrive in their roles, IAG Cargo has put in place procedures and processes, as well as developing extensive resources. However, with no central source of information, People Managers were not always aware of the support that was available to them.
IAG Cargo identified the need for a ‘one-stop document’ for People Managers that included all they need to know to feel fully equipped in their roles, whether recruiting new colleagues or providing learning and development opportunities.
We worked with IAG Cargo to create an interactive PDF that included everything People Managers needed to know. After recently working on IAG Cargo’s internal brand guidelines, we ensured we aligned this document with the new internal brand style and conversational Tone of Voice.
To help managers easily navigate the document, each section within the Managers’ Playbook was colour-coded. And as this document needed to be a central source of information, live links were added to help managers easily navigate to additional resources.
From carrying out interviews and preparing for a new starter’s first day to supporting colleagues’ wellbeing and providing recognition, People Managers are equipped with everything they need to thrive in their roles, so they can help colleagues to thrive in theirs.
People Managers have the knowledge and resources they need to confidently guide their team through every stage of the employee journey and thrive as a manager.
